Congratulations to Joe for finishing his MBA. He took his last final on Thursday. After a long days work and playing with the kids and I until 8, he would work hard on his MBA every night. We appreciate his hard work and his sacrifice to give us quality time through it all.
We celebrated by going on a date without any children. This is us before our date. It's a bad sign when you feel to commemorate kidless dates by taking a picture. It's also a bad sign when part of taking the picture was because I felt like we dressed up, and it turns out we weren't that fancy. (I guess my hair being straightened and down not on Sunday is pretty special for me:)
This is the kids before the date. They wanted to take a picture of them too. Sadly it's one of our better family pictures.

Happy Birthday Rachel
Rachel's Jake and the Neverland Pirates Party
We had a treasure map and adventure just like the show.
We had a pirate sword fight.
I made a treasure chest cake(I should have stuck with the dog cake that I knew how to do:)
Rachel's Real Birthday
I told Rachel she could have a special breakfast. She chose cereal. I knew she was my child.
She got to take cup cakes to school and the leftovers were her b-day cake.
She got this mermaid tail costume that she's known about for 3 months and has been wanting one for atleast a year.
She used Great Grandpa Lunt's birthday money he sent to her to buy this hoola-hoop. She tried a hoola-hoop at the Bushman reunion and has been wanting one.

Humpty Dumpty
For our Ned Lunt reunion our family was supposed to record a skit. We decided to lip sink Joe Scrugg's "Humpty Dumpty" because that is what our family listened to all the time on our vacation road trips. We're thinking of sending it to Sundance Film Festival.

First Day of School
This is the day before Rachel's first day of school when Rachel made her first boxed lunch in her sweet new princess lunch box. Her look is of eager anticipation and excitement. Lincoln likes doing what Rachel is doing and made his lunch.
Here's Rachel before school with her backpack and school supplies.
Rachel at her desk
Lincoln sitting at what he presumed was his desk. He was devastated when I told him we had to go and he wasn't going to be in kindergarten with Rachel.
First Tooth
If you click on this picture and look really close you can see Hannah's first tooth that came in a week ago. She is 11.5 months.
Another first is her big girl pig tails. She left them in about 5 minutes.

Lexington Legends
We went to the Lexington Legends baseball game with Joe's work on Thursday. The kids had fun. It was also one dollar beer night so we had interesting neighbors. Thank you drunk man for the nice t-shirts and the insights on life:)

Swimming Lessons
This is the first year we put Rachel and Lincoln in swimming lessons. They had a lot of fun.
They loved this foam boat. They got rocked out and then had to swim back to the side.
