Cinco de Mayo

The primary was put in charge of a fiesta for the ward.  It turned out well.  It helped that the Spanish branch is sandwhiched into our ward so they added an authentic element.  

 Rachel and her friend Bella holding hands.  We're sad this friend is probably leaving soon.  The girl on the floor is a little girl with disabilities in our ward.  She is the sweetest little piece of Heaven.  She took some good swings at the pinata and had fun dancing.

 I taught the kids the Mexican Hat dance and the Macarena.  I was the MC for the night (scary).

Pinatas might have been the best part of the night for the kids.

Gran

We invited a new older couple in the ward over for dinner.  The wife, Nancy, really liked our kids and offered to be our adopted grandma.  We had no idea how awesome this deal would be!  They are such a great couple and so nice to our kids.  She has the kids call her Gran.

 Here are the girls with the pillow case dresses that Gran made for them.  She was nice to remember Lincoln and bought him a shirt.

 Gran invited the kids over for her birthday for our special party with them.  She gave everyone a cup cake and a candle so they could participate in their favorite part of birthdays.

T-Ball

We found a sport that Lincoln loves...T-Ball.  It's really cute to see him play.  

When he's on base his ready to run stance is his right arm up in a 90 degree angle and his left arm back in a 90 degree angle.  Below is his first time up-to-bat in a game.

Lily's Rising to New Heights

Last week Lily figured out how to push a chair up to the counter and climb up.  Nothing is safe anymore!  I feel like 17 months is a little too early for this accomplishment.

Solato Again

We made another Solato trip in early April.  We went with the Hawleys and Ashtons.  We love hanging out with them.  We're a little girl heavy in our families.  The boys are outnumbered 10-2.  Luckily my friend just had another boy today:).

I Do Baby Showers

Since this is my journal-ish, I should record that I love to throw a good baby shower.  There seem to be a lot at my house.  Babies are so exciting.  Joe's good to support me and hang out with the kids upstairs. 

I don't often take pictures with my friends so I thought it was good to include this too.

Baffled...

We got to Rachel's gymnastics class and when I tried to get him out he said he couldn't because he couldn't find his other shoe.  "Did you lose it."  "I didn't bring it."  How do you remember only one shoe and your umbrella?

Finally Weaned!

This post is about a month old.  I had been trying to wean Lily but it has been rough.  She started to get a little intense wanting to eat all the time.  I finally had to go cold turkey.
