Lily's Birthday

Lily has been obsessed with her birthday for a year.  She's asked me for that long to talk about her birthday.  When she sees something she really wants but knows she can't have she asks if she can have it for her birthday, many times a day, every day.

That being said, I figured I should make it big considering her anticipation.  Here's the start of it...the invitation.

Thanksgiving in Memphis

We did Thanksgiving in Memphis again this year with Joe's side of the family.  The kids made the traditional apple turkeys.  They were really excited the Ropers came but said they could only stay for a day.

We tried to make up for the lack of cousins by doing fun things.  Below is leaves in Grandma's backyard.

We also went to the Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis to see the ducks march.  The ride down on an elevator at 11am every day and march to their fountain in the lobby.

The ducks live up on the roof and you can take the elevator to go see them.

Later we went to this huge Bass Pro Shop and had fun in the Kid's Winter Wonder Land.

FHE Family History Sleuths

This was supposed to be our stealthy picture.

Joe was home on a Monday so Hannah and I stepped up the FHE lesson.  Our stake primary president gave us a family history spy kit and we solved two of the mysteries.  *Our FHE's aren't usually this fancy:).

Beautiful Weather Playtime

I've loved this warm fall.  I enjoy going outside and playing with Whitney and Lily while the kids are at school and I took pictures to remember it.

Whitney loves this popper!

Halloween Pumpkins

Joe was really busy in October and couldn't get to all he wanted to.  I normally avoid helping with pumpkins but I stepped up this year for Joe and helped the kids with them.  A My Little Pony, Owl, and Dog.  Hooray!

Whitney's Pictures

Are you kidding me?  I can't get enough of this sweet girl.  She's the only one I was a little sad about turning one because she's been the sweetest baby.  She's like a calming, cuddly teddy bear.

Which Picture?

Deanna has done it again.  Great pictures!  Which one is your favorite?  I can't decide.

I heart pencils!

Whitney loves pencils!  She finds them all over the house and eats the erasers off.  We're trying to replace pencils with other long cylinders, like spoons and toothbrushes.  So far it's working.   We still have to be careful because if she sees a pencil with an eraser...it's lunch.

My Birthday

Amongst the shadows you will find me receiving my birthday breakfast in bed.

The Super Saturday that I was in charge of was September 24th, the same day as my birthday.  Joe was extra good to cheerfully do many, many honey do's.  It was a great birthday.  The RS suprised me with cake and balloons at the activity.

Conference Cash

Conference Cash was a great discovery!  They got a conference dollar every time they got a conference bingo and then after each conference session they bought things from the conference store.  I thought this helped them a ton.  Plus we watched 6 extra children on Saturday during conference and that helped them as well.  Success!
