Idaho/Utah Trip Part 1

Rexburg

For our first leg of the trip we went to Rexburg, ID to visit Joe's sister Jenny and her family.  We did a straight 26 hour drive.  Lily didn't do awesome...but we made it!

All these pictures were from the Teton Dam Museum.  The found a conference center stage upstairs where they performed creative skits.

The Rexburg Gardens

Other things we did that we did not photograph were the Rexburg Rapids Waterpark and the sand dunes(the most memorable part of that was our van getting stuck in the sand dunes).

Other Summer Happenings

The Pool

We go to the pool a lot.  I love the new "puddle jumper" floaty we got for Lily.  She swims a little more independently.  Lincoln and Hannah took swim lessons.  Hannah's pretty good swimming on her own.  She makes people nervous with her swimming that looks like drowning, but she always stays afloat.:)

Biking

We found a 10 speed bike at a garage sale in our neighborhood.  (This was a huge blessing since I didn't have to be an extreme garage saler.) Rachel loves to ride it and has adjusted to its size.
Lincoln finally learned how to ride a 2 wheeler.  He probably would have learned earlier if we worked with him a bit more.  He learned really fast.

4H Camp

Rachel got to do a 4H camp.  I don't know what it actually had to do with 4H camp but it was a lot of fun.  Here's Rachel shooting off a rocket she made.

Happiness at the Park

While Rachel spends 2.5 hours at gymnastics, I try to entertain the kids.  This day was especially awesome because the kids played so well together in the park sandbox.

Lincoln's 7th Birthday

Lincoln wanted a low key party for his birthday and a bigger present.  I was ok with that:).  He got a scooter and some pokemon balls for his birthday.  For his activity we went swimming, ate Little Ceasar's pizza, and had "Cup of Dirt" for his cake.

Lincoln is a sweet boy.  He's nice, happy, and joy to be around.

Cow Appreciation Day

I found out it was cow appreciation day at Chick-Filet and decided we must do this as I hate making dinner.  Poor Joe got dragged along again.  I don't mind looking like a fool for free dinner:).  Woo Hoo!

Hannah's Preschool Graduation

Hannah graduated from preschool in April and I just found these pictures in my camera's internal memory (aka-I forgot to bring the SD card).  We love the preschool.  I'm excited or Lily to start soon.

Lincoln's Activities

It's rough being the only boy but we managed to find a couple of activities that Lincoln liked.  Lincoln liked to paint this birdhouse and make a totem pole.

Awesome Activity Flip Flops

Here's the crafty activity for today.  It was a little intense to figure out and Lily trashed the house while Rachel and I were working on it, but they turned out cute.  We got dollar flip flops and wrapped ribbon around them.  Then we cut out foam flowers and sewed it on to the flip flops with a bottom. (Idea stolen from pinterest.)  Lincoln's painting a bird house for his craft...that's to come.
